STUDENT BIO
ERIC FEDDER

Eric Fedder is in his 5th year of the Architectural Engineering Program at Penn State University focusing on the Construction Management option. He will graduate in December 2010 with an Integrated Bachelor's and Master's of Architectural Engineering. Upon graduation, Eric will earn EIT status as a result of passing the Fundamental of Engineering exam in the fall of 2008.

Over the past three summers Eric has interned as an Assistant Project Manager with James G. Davis Construction, a general contracting firm in the Washington D.C. metro area. In 2007, he worked on a 350,000 SF high-end office building with an attached 7-story parking garage. In the summer of 2008, Eric worked on a 150,000 SF medical office building with a 5-story parking garage. His most recent internship in the summer of 2009 was on the Episcopal High School Centennial Gymnasium Additions & Alterations project (the subject of this capstone project).

Outside of academics, Eric is involved in several university organizations and activities. He competed on the Penn State University Crew Team as 3-year varsity rower and held an executive officer position as Travel Coordinator his final year. Eric is a member of Phi Alpha Epsilon (AE Honor Society), Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society and S:PACE (Student Partnership for Achieving Construction Excellence). He is also a 5th year mentor in the SSAE mentoring program. Along with these activities, Eric has maintained two in-school jobs as a teaching assistant for the Architectural Engineering Department and a campus representative for Dell Inc.
